Great Camp Food! (Day 2) 9/10/09

Today we woke up bright and early! (Well, to be truthfull, it was dark outside and we were not so cheery) We went to the classic DC Tastee Diner for breakfast. After that, we drove all the way to Pennsylvania (My 2nd time ever in the Keystone State) and stopped at Gettysburg. We watched the movie, glanced at the overwhelming cyclorama and then hurried to the car for our private in-car touring. Our guide met us, and took us through most of the town.

North Carolina!! Regiment plaque, out of a total of over 1500 monuments at Gettysburg.

'Clop' of trees, Confederate focus of Pickett's charge.

After all this excitement, we drove to Carlisle, PA to visit my Uncle Ken. We took an hour break, and then headed for Waterville to camp at Little Pine state park. (Actually, the pines were fairly large!) After we got there, we were famished after a very scanty lunch, so our 7:30 dinner was absolutely delicious.
